Branch Metrics provides a deep linking platform that allows app developers to create and manage different types of links that direct users to specific content or actions within their app.
There are several types of links that can be created, including basic deep links that take users to a specific screen within the app, referral links that track the source of the user, and Journeys links that guide users through a series of screens or actions within the app.
Linking is an essential aspect of app development because it allows developers to create a seamless user experience by directing users to specific content or actions within the app. By using deep links, developers can also track user behavior and measure the effectiveness of their marketing campaigns, which can lead to improved user engagement and retention.
Our Link Management tool is not updated for big companies that have many apps and huge user base. This makes it hard for them to use our tool in different ways. Our current tool cannot work with many different cases and new ways of sharing links, which makes it hard for us to control different types of links. This means that our tool is not useful for big companies who need to share links across many apps and different ways.
Also, big companies cannot change the tool to work in their own way, which means they cannot see how sharing links can help them. This is a big problem for us because we may lose our big customers and other companies may be better than us.
So we need to change our tool to work with big companies that have many apps. We need to make it easier for them to use it in many ways and work with many different types of links. This way, our tool will be better for big companies and we can still be a good choice for them.
In the design team for this project, Alok and I worked closely together. While Alok took on the lead role in designing the overall flow of the project, I focused on the detailed aspects of the design. This involved covering every possible use case and ensuring that there was a consistent pattern in the design.
Working together, we were able to create a solution that catered to the needs of enterprise clients with multiple apps, providing a scalable and customizable solution for managing links effectively. Alongside Alok and Aaron, the PM on the project, we were able to ensure that the design met the specific requirements of each client while maintaining a cohesive and user-friendly interface.
My contribution to the project was focused on the micro-details of the design, including creating a consistent pattern across different use cases and ensuring that the design was easy to use for clients. Through this approach, we were able to create a comprehensive solution that met the needs of our clients and provided a competitive advantage for our company in the market.
